One step up from the mini mating nuc (ACP-BEE-102): better suited to keeping a small cluster alive long enough to read laying patterns properly, hold late-season backup nucs, or overwinter small splits in mild-winter regions.
Material: expanded polystyrene (EPS), denser foam than the mini units. Ventilation channels and feeder access built in. Approximate footprint: 12" x 8" x 7". Care: rinse with mild soapy water between seasons; air-dry fully before stacking for storage.
