Two-part flexible silicone press mold for casting your own pure-beeswax foundation sheets at home — sized for deep Langstroth frames and made to drop straight into a production hive.
For beekeepers who want to control wax purity, reuse cappings from honey harvest, or drop their per-frame foundation cost over time. One mold typically pays for itself in 2–3 seasons if you keep more than 4–5 hives.
How to use: save clean wax cappings or scrap wax through the season, render in a double boiler, pour melted wax onto the lower half of the mold (a bread pan works as a tray underneath), lay the upper half on top, roll across with a rolling pin, wait 90 seconds, peel off your finished sheet, and trim to fit your frame. For best results, warm the mold slightly before the first pour — cold silicone can cause uneven edges.
Sized for deep Langstroth frames (~16¾" x 8½" finished sheet). Cell pattern: standard 5.4mm worker comb. Material: flexible silicone — no mold release needed; wax peels cleanly when fully cooled.
